Rock Wren

After the stormy weather of the last few days, we awoke this morning to blue skies, and clear views of the snowy mountains.  We headed off for a last hike in Joshua Tree National Park on the Split Rock Trail.  It was about a 2.5 mile loop over moderate terrain.  We encountered this little guy along the way.

After the hike, lunch and a nap, we drove over to Noah Purifoy Desert Art Museum.

It was a memorable day, so I have included some extras: "face rock" encountered along the hike,  a couple of shots of some rock climbers and then some of the assemblage installations at the outdoor art museum.   "One man's junk is another man's treasure."
