Hello MISTER mistletoe

Ask people to describe Mistletoe and most will tell you that it is a twiggy ball of stems with lots of white berries. That is after all what you buy at Christmas to hang up in your hallway.
But that of course is MRS. Mistletoe and the berries contain the seeds for the next generation.
But Mrs. M. cannot provide these seeds without the help of MR. M. If all is well he will be growing nearby.

But not everyone notices that at this time of year the Male plant is covered with Yellow flowers. These provide the pollen which reaches the even smaller flowers on he Female.

My blip photo shows the male flowers. Both male and female plants are flourishing on our apple trees.
