Waypoints

Patagonian explorer…

…I spot him everywhere!

We have had two days of pouring rain in the Torres del Paine national park, interspersed with breaks in which we could hike and take in the magnificent views. There are remote sites to park up the camper and wander.  We are waiting for the beautiful, albeit elusive condors which so far we have only spotted in the distance. In the extra I have a Carancho or mountain Caracara, a bird of prey we have seen quite a lot of sitting on the ground or perched on high rocks.

Tomorrow we will be driving to Puerto Natales to shop for supplies, fill up with petrol and enjoy a hot shower:-)) On Thursday we drive on to a ferry with our camper going through the southernmost fjords of Chile, a 40 hour journey which will enable us to to get on the road known as the Carretera Austral and start the journey northwards.

Thanks for all your lovely comments and appreciation as ever. Abrazos!
