Looking for the beauty

Edinburgh: homeward bound

This morning's breakfast in the hotel was interrupted by smoke pouring out of one of the fridges. The staff worked quickly to fix the problem but for a while we weren't allowed to take anything from the buffet.
Once we had checked out and stored our cases, we walked down to the Palace of Holyrood House.  It was an interesting tour but I didn't enjoy it as much as the yacht. We then crossed the road and entered the Scottish Parliament for a cake and a nose around. It was interesting and a lovely building. I'd definitely recommend a visit; they were really welcoming and it was all free.
Finally, before catching the train home, we did a bit of shopping (or looking as I didn't buy anything) and had a final trip to the museum. The time we spent in Edinburgh has been really enjoyable and I was really impressed that it only took 4 hours to get there on the train.
Dan and Michelle fetched us from the station and we then all went for a meal at The New Inn at Hookagate.
