Frist leaves

Walking up the track to pick up the post today I glanced up and saw what I thought were leaves coming at the very top of this tree  - despite the sharp cold of the day.

I went back later for a proper look, with (of course) a camera that could get up close, even if I couldn't ! 

And leaves they were.....
