Pileated Woodpecker

Movement out the window caught my eye and it turned out to be this Pileated woodpecker so grabbed my phone that was at hand and snapped a couple of photos.

Before our weather takes a real drop on temperature again, today was 80° but only 25% humidity! There was a steady breeze too so when in the shade it was actually cool.

I spent the whole day outside in the shade and when I came in I had a visible film of pine pollen on me! Ugh.
