Nordbahnhof

International Women's Day is a public holiday in Berlin. I do love the random days off. Also nice that the shops are closed so there is little temptation to do chores. Took the S Bahn to Nordbahnhof to find some streetart. We kind of failed. Instead we got totally distracted by the Wall Memorial. Berlin is a crazy place with history everywhere you go. The Nordbahnhof has a really interesting exhibition of the ghost stations and the underground border. After lunch we joined the big demonstration organised by the union for education and science (GEW) for International Women's Day. Lots of people out in the streets although it was quite cold and it snowed a little. The speakers were clear an intersectional movement is required that encompasses social justice, environmental,  and equality movements as the problems are linked and stem from capitalist exploitation.
