Cold feet

Roger got cold feet. Me too. Once I got to the bay, I soon realised that a lunchtime swim was perhaps best postponed until the conditions get more clement. 
I could have gone out. The chance of making back onto terra firma without significant damage was about 85% 
These are good odds if you are betting on a horse, or a greyhound, or Liverpool beating Man U 7-0 
When you go out swimming in the sea though, you want odds in the region of 99.98% 
I am older and wiser and able to bail out now. 
Also I got cold feet. And hands. And nose.
