Into Dubai Police today. Not the same success as yesterday, however they said keep appealing. In the meantime they allowed the fine to be carried over while I registered Karen’s car for another year. 

Had to get a blood test from our doctor at the opposite end of Abu Dhabi, furthest away from Dubai. They have a great view towards Emirates Palace.
