Screen Machine

We’d seen Aftersun already but went for a second time for the social aspect, and to see it from a different perspective.

A from the bakehouse invited us over to have supper with him and his husband beforehand. We gelled well with them and have already set a date for having them over at Hillcrest.

Their flat is cosy, with fairy lights and smells nice. The kind of place you don’t really want to leave, especially when it’s -1 outside. We got in the car for a 30 second drive over to the Screen Machine. They sang Dolly Parton. It made me feel warm inside.

For lunch C and I made rolls and walked down to TBS for a coffee. We sat by the fire and ate Bakewell tarts, which also made me feel warm inside.

I’m looking forward to our Arran weekend of dolce far niente.
