Secret message or wheel tracks?

A tiny beastie with a 2" wheelbase has been trying to tell us something I think! Any ideas what the secret message is? It looks rather like a child has been playing with a toy car in the snow.

I guess it must be a weasel or similar, short-legged mammal, trying to keep warm in the fresh snow or locking in on a scent, but going round in circles.
