Magpie

As a lad growing up in the 1950s in Hertfordshire I rarely saw a magpie.  Now they are regular visitors to our garden and we can sometimes have five or six of them arguing loudly in the trees.

We had about an inch of snow last night at home but it was very localised and altitude dependant as lower down in Grange there was none at all.  It has melted rapidly throughout the day.
