Nature Diary... Magnolia Flourishing

Despite the weather forecaster's prediction of below zero temperatures, strong icy winds, and snowfalls causing major challenges, the information hasn't yet reached the south coast of England where everything seems to be calm and peaceful, not too wet and not too dry, and pretty mild for this time of year.... Maybe I'm tempting fate in speaking up but, well, the nearby Magnolia doesn't seem to have heard any reason to stop its progress towards blooming so I think I might use that as my weather vane for a few weeks.
