Two months to flower!

The amaryllis bulb was given to me on 10th January so it has taken two months for it to flower. A lovely colour and three more flowers to come out later.

Another chilly day with horrid wind and some showers.
We did go to the supermarket in Twickenham  and I bumped into two lots of friends there . There is Eng v France rugby tomorrow nearby so the car park and shop were very busy today. We also went to the garden centre on the way home and I bought a couple of interesting primroses for pots in the garden.

I managed to mount and frame my sampler this afternoon. Not easy as the modern fabric is so stiff.

Tonight I am going to a local amateur theatre to see ‘The Madness of King George’ .
