Local again

It seems almost certain now that we will have a pub in the village again, soon – a proper local.  The previous tenant, a well-known chef, pulled out because the project wasn't viable; but there ensued an argument between him and the owners over what monies were due to him for all the renovation that he had carried out.  

Fortunately, the lease seems to have been transferred to another publican, one known to the villagers, and the pub will no longer be a supposedly gourmet establishment but a place where locals can go for a pint.  At reasonable prices.
