Blue Sky Light Sand

It has been ages since I last went to a beach in the UK, so a bit of sunshine was all it took to convince me to drive the 45 minutes to Goswick.
Not too sure whether the dog or we enjoyed the almost empty beach more until my dog decided to walk up to a very old couple with an equally old dog.
When the guy started chasing my dog away with his walking stick I started running to get my dog (who has developed selective hearing in the last few months) away.
I have no idea what made this old couple so angry as neither dog seemed aggressive or even bothered in any way. The couple wouldn't say anything but only throw evil angry looks at me.
