Hellebores at Cambo

After a very chilly night at Kingsbarns beach, for the princely sum of £10 for overnight parking, we woke to sunshine and huge waves rolling in. Quickly the car park filled up with chaps dragging on their wetsuits and grabbing their surfboards and dashing into the sea.  Fascinating to watch them going through the waves and riding them in but tricky taking photos of them!

Shelagh and I walked through the dunes with  Lottie to Cambo, and Mike drove the van over.  The Snowdrop Festival was still underway. So many varieties, each just slightly different, simple and lovely.

Lots of varieties of hellebores too. All so beautiful, it's impossible to choose a favourite. I've included some in extras.

We had an interesting walk round the gardens and took dozens of photos, then had lunch in the café. Excellent, really tasty food. To be recommended!
We would have bought plants too, but they would have to survive van life for a bit too long before we got them home!
