Everything except the oak

On our customary walk with Elsie today I was struck by the lush green foliage on the trees.
This is a collage including the cheery yellow gorse, Scots pine, Silver Birch, Horse Chestnut and the oak, which is showing no sings of life yet. There is an old ditty that says Ash before oak in for a soak , oak before ash in for a splash......does this for bode a wet summer? Surely not!
