Border Tails

By Swannie

That Friday feeling

I had my fortnightly pick up in East Lothian today, near a wee village called Gifford, I had no idea how the roads would be, so I left early. There’s no way to get to the client except by b-roads, however, it wasn’t too bad, just white in places. Despite having a 15 minute break at Straiton, I was running a bit early and stopped in this lay-by just after Leadburn. It wasn’t too cold in the sun.

Tonight, when I got home, I accepted a job that I was offered a few days ago. I’m going back to being a school bus driver when the new term starts.
