National Gallery

Many years ago, when we first visited the National Gallery we fell in love with Stubbs' Whistle Jacket.  So much so, that we named our lovely Abyssinian cat Whistle after him.  Sadly Whistle got run over but he lives on in our hearts.

So - this is the long view towards Whistle Jacket - a closeup in extras along with my favourite Turner - "Rain, Steam and Speed" painted in 1844; and a new one for me "Lake Keitele" by Akseli Gallen-Kallela, painted in 1905.
