Parque de la Paloma, Benalmadena

What a glorious day, hot and sunny, far warmer than we had expected it to be in the first half of March in the Costa del Sol. At 4pm we spotted a sign showing 26C so it may well have been even hotter earlier.
This morning we walked to Fuengirola train station and arrived in Benalmadena about 20 mins later. We had made last minute arrangements to meet friends from home at Benalmadena Marina, they had arrived in the area yesterday so it was good to have a catch up with them over a lovely ice cream sundae. After we said goodbye to them, my daughter and I retraced our steps, had a delicious lunch overlooking the sea then headed up to Parque de la Paloma. For many years my sister had a timeshare near by and I remember having some lovely walks in the park and wanted to revisit. There are some wonderful trees, flowers, birds, a cactus garden, goats, and much more!
Back at the hotel now sitting on the balcony with the sun going down behind the mountains, looks like it will be another beautiful sunset, our last night sadly.
