Can On A Wire

Our neighbor at the allotment hung up this empty can on a wire. It hangs on a steel pole and it gently rocks in the wind against the pole. Thus making noise to frighten the birds so they keep out of his vegetable garden. So this is like a virtual bird fence.

This image also tells a lot about our friendly neighbor. Now you can tell, without seeing him, where he's from, what he sometimes likes to eat, how practical he can be. Just use your imagination.

What it doesn't tell is, that when he is at his allotment and he and his family makes a BBQ, we always get some nice food. And visa versa.

Although the allotments are demarcated pieces of land, there don't have to be fences and boundaries. If you want and make an effort.
