Beach hut kaleidoscope

We spent the morning in Whitby, on the harbour breakwaters and then in the churchyard.  I thought the weathered gravestone (in extras) would be a useful addition to my series on caring for J.

Then the afternoon in a chilly and windswept Saltburn, where I loved the colourful beach huts (and enjoyed the fact they provided a little respite from the wind).  As we were driving back towards Staithes for sunset, I got a call from the carers saying that J wasn't at home when they called to do his tea... after some slightly frantic calling round I located where he'd been - and that he was safe (just late home from a walk up to his cousin's). I definitely needed a large G&T by the time we returned to base!
