Cirencester Reflections

I finally got to my dental appointment in Cirencester this morning. I had two X-rays and was seen by two dentists. The first one was very nice but only joined the practice last week so she got a second opinion from the more experienced colleague. It turns out my toothache is complicated. What needs to be done is either going to be impossible or very expensive. I've got to be referred to a third more specialist dentist, not NHS though.

We were soundly trounced in the camera club battle last night. I couldn't disagree with the result, but the judge did make some strange comments along the way. He gave my Whichford Pottery image 16/20 which was OK but although he liked it he said there was something wrong/weird about the processing of the arm. I've had a close look at it, including the RAW file and it's just dried clay/muck I think. Oh well.

One thing the judge said was don't listen to your family regarding your photos, as they will always like them. Not true in my experience. Mrsfb often is unimpressed with my images, like this one for instance :-)

In other news the decorator is still here, and we've had a Skype with daughter#2. Although it's still a long way off the wedding is dominating our conversations at the moment. We are planning to go over to Munich again next month, hopefully mrsfb and the prospective mother-in-law can get involved in the wedding dress decision.

Laid-back?
Coincidentally I was laid back in the dentist's chair exactly a year ago too.
