The Quarry

Started the day with a visit to Churston Library to collect a book - the Paris Library. Wishing it was the other way round, but there was a surprise. The library was 50 years old. I was there at that time, part of a library team putting the shelves together. No expense spared. At lunch time we had a buffet at the Deputy Borough Librarian’s house. Glad to see the shelves are still holding together. Apart from one library in a new school I don’t think I attended another new library opening in my career. Plenty of closures unfortunately.
We walked from there to Berry Head and the quarry on one of the sunniest brightest bluest days ever. See library in extra at the end of the day.
