Think They're Friends!

Highlight of the day was driving to Safara, a small village about half an hour away, to pray and have lunch with Dan and Mireille. Their house, now that everything has come from Ireland, is filled with beautiful art and furniture and books and other objects, a real joy.

As we arrived, so funny to see the neighbours trying to look busy, while actually staring as hard as they could - one lady dusted the same spot the whole time we were parking and getting out and knocking and entering.

The lowlight of the day was TAP informing us that our flight from Venice in April (for our organisation's conference in Croatia) was going to leave eight hours earlier than when we booked. Given that we paid more to go with them in order to have more time, hugely irritating... can airlines just do this to people??

Gratefuls:
- David J, the organiser of the conference, assuring us they can get us to the airport in time, a relief
- rock roses dotting the hillsides like stars in a dark green sky
- friends who enrich our lives, old (E and C last night), and new (M and D today), who we first met exactly a year ago today!

And... three years ago today, we were on the last ferry to leave Spain before lockdown really took hold.
