Clocktowers

Looking out at the top of Leith St, at Waverly Gate, the Balmoral, and the National Records Office from left to right.

Went exploring in St James Quarter, and found my way up to the outside of the residential levels, where there's still work going on. Had been looking to see if there was an equivalent of the Ferry Building in San Francisco, which has shops selling artisan cheese, bread, coffee, and a weekly farmers market. There's a set of food purveyors near the cinema, but it's all sold as meals not ingredients. All sorts of well known brands in the rest of the complex. There's a useful branch of Boots in the basement, and a Europecar hire pickup point.

Walk to the shore later and back by 23 bus. Not much sun, 7C high.
