Sgwarnog: In the Field

Silhouette

I had been stood under a tree in the woods, thinking there was a cat somewhere in the bushes, before I eventually realised the mewing noise was coming from higher up. Turning my gaze upward was enough to disturb the Buzzard that had been perched there, but it didn’t travel far, and when it settled again I was able to secure this silhouette. Another was nearby.

A few minutes earlier I’d been watching a Dipper pair thinking about setting up home in a overhanging bank above the beck, and I’d also bumped into a few Roe Deer as I’d entered the woods.

Also a Grey Heron on the Dam, so quite a wildlife-packed lunchtime walk.
