So Far, So Good

Things are going pretty well at the conference.

The first major problem occurred when it was found that the light from the overhead windows rendered the big screen almost invisible. Once the initial panic subsided we rushed to Bunnings for some black plastic and gaffer tape then a couple of guys got up on the roof to cover them from the outside which solved that problem.

The program kicked off at 4pm with an exhibition of sheep dogs at work.

Cowra Rotary put on a BBQ with best steak sandwiches I’ve ever eaten and it was very pleasant to sit outside listening to a good country guitarist.

The speaker tonight was a local historian who gave an interesting and entertaining talk on Cowra history, most specifically the story of the famous breakout by Japanese POWs from the camp during WW2.

The second extra is that handsome devil from our club, Jack.
