Flowers in Rome

The pope said it for years at eastern, in Dutch: Bedankt voor die bloemen! (Thanks for the flowers). One of the first things we saw today was this florist on the street, and J and I begon to laugh at the same time and started also at the same time saying “bedankt voor die bloemen!”

Day one at Rome was great. A great flight, a nice bus tour from the airport to the hotel (which is simple but good). Seen the Collosseum and Forum Romanum and had a nice walk from the hotel to get there.

what we didn't know is that the marathon of Rome is this sunday! We will see what we can see of that. But because of the marathon it is a lot more busy then we expected.
