Helga kept asking to go to the bank this afternoon as she wanted to take out money to pay for the splendid care and food that she receives here. The nurses tell her not to worry about it. Her social worker came this morning and suggested a residential care home. Helga was less than impressed.

Betty, who has taken Colleen's place opposite me, is seriously ill. Her carer of 14 years comes to sit with her when she can, but one wonders if it's now a waiting game.
