We are in Perquin.
This small mountain town in particular have witnessed some of the most tragic events in the Salvadoran civil war that lasted from 1979 till 1992.

This man is a former guerrilla that witnessed the most unimaginable atrocities in his life and still find pleasure in cooking/eating and sharing this flower blossoms (flor de Izote) that are a seasonal delicacy.
