Curly Wurly Catkins

An exciting day today, if you can call spending most of it in either the garage or the loft exciting! We are really starting to see some light at the end of what seemed like an interminably long tunnel not so long ago, caused by our trying to declutter the house of (mostly) our sons’ belongings!

The day started with an early visit to the local charity shop, and then several large items in the garage that belonged to our eldest son were collected later on and taken away by a friend who can make use of them. I have also booked a waste removal/recycling company to come on Monday and take the bulk of what’s left on pallets in the garage, plus some items from the loft.

That will leave us with a lot of boxes of our old company paperwork, which will need shredding before it can be disposed of. We need to go through it and take out anything we need to keep (which won’t be much) and then I can book the on-site shredding firm to come.

After all that has been done, the same friend is coming to move a storage racking unit from one place to another in the garage, which will allow us to do something radical like parking the car in it at long last.

I didn’t think my blip friends would find the photos that I took of our rubbish very interesting, so how about this shot of our contorted hazel tree, which is beginning to show signs of spring at last? That’s much more exciting!
