Merchandise of Venice

This afternoon we went to see The Merchant of Venice with Tracy Ann Oberman as Shylock. I’m not sure the staging of it quite worked, it seemed a little clunky in places. When we left the theatre we had a delicious dinner in a nearby Polish restaurant, it’s the first time we’ve tried Polish food and we will definitely be back. I thought one of our fellow diners looked familiar and eventually realised that the gentleman sat just behind my husband’s left shoulder was John Thompson from Cold Feet etc
