Lonely Barn

So here we are once more in Tavelsjö for two days of Tai Chi with our teacher Ulf, and about 10 other participants. The weekend provides a reminder, keeping our skills honed and deepening our knowledge a little.
There was a big snow storm forecast yesterday, when we were driving up here, which takes around three hours. We set off before the storm arrived and saw little evidence of it until after we were safely in our room. However, this morning we learned that two participants had been forced to stop en-route and take a hotel night, and two more would be arriving late because there was so much snow on the road. Obviously we were lucky and setting off a bit early was the correct decision. (Everyone eventually arrived safely today.)
This picture shows the last of the storm as it drifted off northwards this morning. The wind had abated but snow was still falling.
Tavelsö looked good in the afternoon, when the sun arrived. This picture is taken looking south from the community centre where our course is taking place. The main picture is taken looking north from the same building.
It is so lovely to be training TaiChi all day. Exhausting in one way, and relaxing in another.
It is always a joy to meet Ulf, our teacher (extra). We were encouraged to go on a course with Ulf because he was getting old and might stop teaching. That was 9 years ago and Ulf, now around 83 years old, is still teaching. An excellent teacher, a lovely person, and a lot of fun!
