Double Dividend

I was in a shop today and tried to pay with my nectar card. The assistant looked at me as if I was mad and explained- in a very gentle voice- that I needed a credit card to pay for goods.

I did try to explain that in the olden days!!! you could "pay" for goods with things like green shield stamps. Again she looked at me as if I was mad..... I'd explained it was just like using a Tesco clubcard when they have their exchange vouchers....
