Too much heat

Thank you all very much for the stars and hearts you gave yesterday's Monarch butterfly.  

Yesterday's 32 °C was too much for the fungi.  Even the ones in the shade expired.  But the backs of these ones are pretty even if they're dead.

The theme for Mono Monday today is "first day of winter' and I guess this image fits that, though it still very much mid autumn (fall) here.
