Cinema museum

I spent the day in Gerona today, a city with loads of atmosphere. It has its pitfalls such as having the worst signposting of any city I know. I drove around suburbs for ages with few sigs for the centre. If such a sign was followed, it would prove to be the last and the route would become ambiguous. The old quarter and the Modernist buildings were impressive but the highlight was the Museum of Cinema which told the full story of the still and moving image from ancient Chinese shadow puppets through to modern cinema. There was a lot of hands on with machines to play with, zoetropes and such like and many videos to watch. The history of photography was also fascinating with many early images to admire. I would recommend it to anyone.
