Tiny Tuesday - Flower

I decided to photograph one of the few crocus blooms that is still out in our garden. However, as the background was not particularly attractive I chose to present in a still life format. This is now easily done in Lightroom using the selective processing module and creating a mask for the subject then inverting it. Then you can lower the exposure of the background completely to create a black one. I find the accuracy of this module in creating masks is very effective and allows me to select sky , subject or background at the touch of a button.
