Grape Hyacinth

An interesting day.  Two workmen arrived first thing this morning to take out the hall carpet and replace it with karndean flooring.  They worked very quickly but advised us that we had to wait for the floor to dry for 4 hours before we could walk over it.  This meant we were confined to the kitchen / dining room with no access to the bathroom.  We could at least leave the house via the back door.

After my husband returned from a Pilates class we had a coffee and then went for a walk along the beach.  I was on the look out for a tiny flower to photograph for tiny tuesday and found these grape hyacinths in a front garden.  After lunch I had a look at the allotment and did a little weeding, tidied up a few things and picked some rather nice leeks and some kale.

It will be an early tea tonight as we are hoping to get into a local talk about the wildlife especially the birds along the river otter while the restoration project is underway.
