A Meandering Life...

Classic Cars and Culture

Our final morning in Nelson wasn't wasted as we visited the Nelson Classic Car Museum and Miyazu Japanese Garden, part of the Queen Elizabeth II Reserve.

The Classic Car Museum housed WOW on our last visit but the World of Wearable Art has moved elsewhere these days. The combination of wacky clothes and classic cars did work but with 150+ immaculate classics on show there was plenty to see.

However my main Blip has the only car not presented in gleaming condition... It also shows part of the Japanese garden. I have visited the garden before but it was the first time I realised there were dozens of eels in the ornamental pond.

My extra shows a selection of cars on display with naturally a Morris Minor included. There was a whole section showing Jaguar cars and many British imports however the stars of the show did appear to be mainly big American beasts.

We have now moved on to Havelock which I will introduce you to tomorrow. We continue to have our own micro climate following us. We are hoping the Cook Straight calms down before next Tuesday...
