It was a surprise to see the cock pheasant with his harem of ladies in the garden this morning. He seemed content to watch them tucking into the bird seed without eating any himself. I’ve taken to feeding them away from the main bird feeders in order to give the small birds a chance but they still come for a look around there in case there’s anything within reach.
