Cancer

This photo has been the focus of a lot of family discussion this week.  It's over 27 years old, taken not long after Mrs Oons and I had got together when, en route, I came by two extraordinary stepsons. 

It's Nick's university graduation. Everyone has had cancer since then. Nick and his father died. Young James, he of the waistcoat, is now running an international company. He's also running the London Marathon.

He's smashed his fundraising target of £5000, but every penny for cancer research must be good. I've thought long about putting this on Blip, but I've seen so many other tragic stories on here. So if anyone feels like adding to the fund, even if it's only a tenner, please go to
