How does that saying go - the best laid plans of mice & men oft go astray? Today was one of those days.
A mutual Christchurch friend was coming down to stay with my friend over the road, except that that friend got phoned to hear that she’d been exposed to Covid. So the Christchurch friend arrived, she & I went out to lunch and the Covid-affected friend sat near us; we were outdoors.
So now the Christchurch friend is staying with me.
Did you get all that? It was a rigmarole! but fun.
