Base of Street Lamps, Leith

It was my weekly visit to Leith for a yoga class although I arrived to find out the tutor was unwell.  Before I jumped back on the bus I went to check out the street lamps that I blipped last week as my home research said there are Leith insignias at the base which I hadn't noticed.  And there are!

The image is of a women, Mary, and child at sea in a ship with the latin inscription 'Sigillum Oppidi De Leith' above which translates as 'Seal of the town of Leith'.  Leith's motto 'Persevere' is below.
