Marischal College

Mrs CBL and I were in Aberdeen this morning doing some shopping and then on to do some chores.  We rewarded ourselves with coffees and cakes (chocolate) at the Recharge Café.

Marischal College is said to be the second biggest granite building in the world, the largest being the Escorial in Madrid.  The college was built in the 1800s and is a perpendicular gothic style and was constructed using granite from two local quarries.
