Local Walk

Today we went out walking from the cottage (second extra), doing a circular walk that went through an old hill fort at Pilsbury  It was mostly dry, and it only hailstoned once!

After lunch, we drove though to Thornbridge Hall for a cream tea of fruit scone, jam and cream.  (We put the jam on first, don't judge.)  We also paid three pounds to have a wander around their gardens where we saw the lovely pink bench in the extra.

We then drove through to the old lead mine workings at Magpie Mine, and we had a good wander around the grounds.  The sky was definitely in keeping with the ruined mine atmosphere.  The rain was beginning to come in so we drove back to the cottage for dinner.
