The bench is in the little woodland leading from Flotterstone carpark to the service road to two reservoirs in the Pentlands.   The road passes a couple of fields below the Glencorse Reservoir dam with pine clad banks near the water’s edge before continuing to the bleaker heather clad upper reaches around Loganlea Reservoir.  The boats are normally used by anglers and the road is often used by walkers who climb along the Pentland ridge or do a circuit to Threipmuir Reservoir.    The first extra is Glencorse Reservoir and the second is Loganlea Reservoir and the dam.
