Looking for treasures

Renata is a treasure hunter, always looking for rocks or other interesting things on walks, and we have quite a collection of treasures that she's picked up and brought home since she was a little girl. The treasure found today is the extra. It reminded us of Woody Woodpecker, and it will find a spot in our garden. No doubt a future blip.  :-)
A good day together. Krista did some work preparing for her practicum, looking for Indigenous content and fun activities to include in her lessons. We went for a walk, and worked up a good appetite for our delicious dinner at Auntie Pesto's, always and fun to interact with the servers. Can't come to visit and not go to Auntie Pesto's! We watched a very exciting NCAA basketball game, Gonzaga vs UCLA with the winner making it to the final group of eight. Right down to the wire, and Gonzaga won with an incredible 3 point shot. I haven't watched basketball for quite a long time, although the sport has always been a huge part of our lives, but I think I'll be watching more of the tournament! Renata still watches most of the games and has encouraged us to watch some of the NCAA women's tournament. Might catch a couple of games, not enough time in a day!
Wonderful to have two of our "girls" here with Bruce. What an amazing wee dog he is!  I've included an extra of him posing by the crocuses, waiting for a treat. These are the first crocuses I've seen blooming!
