Hangingstone Quarry

Met up with G this morning at Toast, for a three hour catch-up and critique session. She's almost finished her novel. I have probably three months to go. We've both come a long way since we start helping each other four years ago. A little bit of very useful nit-picking but mostly very positive, on both sides of the table. Gill has certainly nailed her voice now, and she thinks I've pretty much got all mine (there are five points of view). We agreed that our method is working. We've both come to understand our characters and their journeys through the actual writing of the story. There's a continual process of revision as they grow and become more fleshed out.

With the cold much improved, I popped out late afternoon to try a run on the moor, just a few miles, enough to get a photograph and be able to tell that the breathing is okay. Hopefully, I'm finally over the hump with this thing.
